Policy Categories


Compliance

Any student who fails to comply with the policies, rules, and regulations outlined in these policies will be subject to disciplinary action and possible termination. Special policies regarding tuition, attendance, and other areas of concern contained in this documentation may be established for programs which operate outside the usual requirements for adult preparatory classes.

Among those classes which may have such requirements are: Surgical Technology, Practical Nursing, Electrical Technician, and Commercial Driving. Copies of compliance requirements will be available to students enrolled in those classes during the first week of class.

  • Attendance: Adult Students

    Policy: 1101 All postsecondary students exceeding the maximum number of allowable absences will be dismissed from their respective programs.     Policy 1102 James Rumsey Technical Institute’s attendance policy follows the West Virginia State and Berkeley County Schools’ attendance policies and procedures.   • Attendance: Tardies and Signing In/Out

    Policy 1104 Tardies/Early Sign-Outs Tardiness will be documented.
